Our solution is simple. Make it easier to connect open-source creators with organizations that need them – and provide the tools, support, and environment everyone needs to succeed. It’s a tall order, but we’re up for the challenge (and already making progress).

Hi there! OpenTeams was designed to improve the open-source ecosystem.
I’ve had the privilege of watching open-source projects I started or participated in getting used by millions. I want to see a world where more people are paid a great living to work on open-source software. There are several approaches to improving the funding fabric for open-source and the OpenTeams platform is one of them. I have spent the last 12+ years writing open-source software, improving open-source ecosystems, hiring developers, and paying people to work on open-source software. With every project, I saw a common problem.
There’s a big disconnect and misalignment between open-source usage and open-source communities.
- Too many contributors and teams work tirelessly with inadequate resources and no recognition of their hard work.
- The companies who need the software to make their product available struggle to find the talent they need to build and maintain it.
We believe that everyone involved in key open-source projects should be able to achieve sustainable success and retain their freedom and self-direction.
With OpenTeams, we are building out a platform that connects companies that use open-source and want to fund specific features and improvements with organizations that hire open-source developers. Some initiatives will be new projects, some will be usability improvements and feature proposals for existing projects. An effect of OpenTeams is also to enable a place for all open-source contributors to build their reputation and career (not just contributions that lead to pull-requests).
We are in the early stage but will continue to add features that grow the entire ecosystem.

Co-founder and COO of OpenTeams. Eunice Chendjou leverages 5+years’ experience in data science and startup development. Formerly, Founder & CEO at DataGig and Product analyst at Apple. She has a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics from Louisiana Tech University.
As a Sr. Software Architect, David Charboneau is leading the development of the OpenTeams OS network. For 20+ years, David has developed software using a variety of technologies and has successfully managed engineering teams. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
As Chief Revenue Officer at OpenTeams, Matt Harward leverages 20+ years’ experience in data science technical sales to form long-lasting customer partnerships. Matt is also founder and Head of Sales at Quansight. Formerly, VP of Sales at Anaconda and co-founder of PPG certifications. He has a B.A. in Business Management and Spanish from BYU.
Henry BadgeryGrowth Marketer
Henry Badgery is the Growth Marketer at OpenTeams and is responsible for growing the number of users, Partners and Clients. Prior to OpenTeams, Henry was Head of Sales at Blockchain Australia and studied Computer Science and Business at The University of Sydney.
